The story of the 1974-75 RBHS volleyball team will be the subject of a new book by author Dave Almany. Mr. Almany, a former educator and coach, uses sports as a tool for documenting and discussing American society. In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Title IX, Mr. Almany is telling the story of Coach Sandy Griffin and "The Red Bud Six." These athletes and their coach preserved against the odds and oppositions, all the way to the state tournament.
Books are anticipated to be published in the Spring, but can be preordered now for $22.95, with a percentage of the sales going to support the Musketeer volleyball program.
